I remember when I cutted. (I still have marks on my left leg.)
I wore sweatpants to gym. And since you cut on your arms, wear long sleeves. It doesn't matter. I wore hoodies all the time to gym. Even if I looked funny. It was comfortable.

Leave her alone because really it isn't that simple, if you had scars from cutting you would understand but you dont. I never used to cut but once you start you just have to do it because it helps... as for the orginal question just dontwear shorts because I'm in 8th grade and I where leggings and a sweatshirt to P.E. because of the same reasons so I hope your issues are solved
