Just wondering how long you would talk to someone before dating that person. I've been talking to this guy for a month & I'm gonna see him next week and I think he's going to ask me out. Is a month too fast?

There's no wrong or right. Some relationships are based off years of friendship, others based on a night at a party. There's nothing wrong with a month, as long as you're comfortable with it.

What the person above said. In some situations, I would text a girl for a few days and then talk to her a bit at school then text her a bit more and boom, date. Other times, you already knew the girl well enough to just dive right into it.

i would say its really by preference, are you both shy? if so you have to go through that awkward getting to know each other stage
i mean iv'e been talking to this girl for maybe a few weeks, and we really hit it off, i let her know that i liked her like right off the bat to avoid the dreaded friend zone.
just be laxed about it(: when it happens it happens. no need to rush into something you guys aren't ready for.
