Hey, so, I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months, and we've starting discussing having sex. (I should say, I am a virgin, but he isn't). When he told me that he wasn't a virgin earlier on in the relationship he was very clear that he didnt want to push me into sex, and he hasnt. However recently I told him that I thought I was ready. When I said this though I meant, I would be willing to have sex if we were in a really romantic situation and got carried away. However, he seems to have taken it as "next time we're alone we're going to have sex". I've tried explaining to him that I didnt mean it like that, and he was like 'oh yeah, I understand, I'll have to get some candles and stuff to make it nice for you' which was cute, but he just doesnt seem to understand what I meant. I don't want my first time to be planned out like this, I want it to be spontaneous.
I feel like now going through this has made me not-ready again, but he was so happy when I said that I was, I'd feel guilty changing my mind...any advice?
