A friend occasionally calls and wants to meet but I dont want to

    • A friend occasionally calls and wants to meet but I dont want to

What do you do in situations when a particular friend you don't want to meet calls you and wants to meet?
It would be most simple if one could just say: "No, I don't want to meet you." but that's just plain rude.

The reason is simply because I don't like her. Also, when we meet, we are always just by ourselves and there's no one else in our "group of friends" but us

Just say that you're not up to going out. You can say you're going out already, you're doing work/working, you're seeing family, you're ill, the weather is awful, you're in a bad mood etc. If you continuously have an excuse, she'll just end up not bothering any more.

So you call them a friend... but you don't like them? That's interesting,

Just tell them you're busy or have personal issues to deal with.

I also dont understand why you are friends with her then.
But why not ask some others to meet up too so you both have some more people to talk with etc, it can be more fun then just the two of you.
