Girls grow faster during their adolesence stage, so they need a balanced diet. Actually, they need 1800 - 2200 cal / day depending on their activities. But, it is seen that teens do not eat proper food and so do't get adequate amount of calcium and iron that can cause serious health problem such as ostepporosis or anemia.

I know a lot of girls (especially) want to be slim but it's much better to have a good diet (rather than have a diet to lose weight).
If we don't take care of ourselves in our developing years, it might cause us problems when we're older.
