We haven't had it so wondering what year other people have to do it? I am not sure why we never have. Maybe some schools just don't do it?
What grade is sex ed supposed to be? (stupid question)

In the UK there are little bits about the basics of difference of boys and girls and appropriate behaviour from pretty much the start of school. But the major sex ed year is year 5, where you learn puberty and stuff in detail

I had my first sex ed class in fifth grade and I’m supposed to have it this fall as well

I think we started in year 5 or 6I’m not clumsy its just the floor hates me, the tables and chairs are bullies and the wall gets in the way

5th grade boys and girls together. We had “the question box” where you could write down questions and the teachers could read them without knowing who asked it

Grade 7 for me

Grade 5, depends where your from though some places are alot less 'open' about sex ed ahem ahemBored 24/7 feel free to pm whenever

In my school they didnt call it "sex ed" but they called it a "body changes class" and talked about feelings and changes that can happen. They only touched on the "sex" part alittle. I think next year is the sex class one.

Why's it a stupid question?
I think it varies a lot. But, in my case (in the UK), I had the initial basics in Year 6 (US 5th grade) basically telling you what sex is (penis in vagina, ejaculation) then also puberty basics (hair, sweat, spots and wet dreams).
Then in year 7 (6th grade) similar stuff but in a bit more detail (more scientific - process of fertilisation etc. but also a bit more about growth like penis getting larger.)
Year 9 (8th grade) discussed masturbation and porn (basically telling you you shouldn't watch it, though even the teachers kind of knew most people either had or will).
Year 10 (9th grade) - different types of contraception. Mainly showed you how to put on a condom (with a dildo, obviously. Lol.) -

- whoa. At my school they pretty much covered everything in 5th grade, then a little more about STD’s and contraception in 7th

I think the UK way is to incorporate it into lessons rather than have a long session dedicated to it. So, some was in our form tutor sessions (basically a long registration we have where you also get to speak to your Tutor if you have any concerns) and other parts were implemented into science lessons so it kind of depended on what we needed to learn at that stage for exams as well

We had it in grade 6, and not much detail during class. We got a kind of pamphlet to take home about puberty and what to expect. Mostly about changes to our bodies, erections, that kind of stuff. Skimmed over masturbation and sex and nothing about contraception. I learned a heck of a lot more from my dad than school
