It depends. So my pop is very strict we live on base so like he makes me do pushups or run laps usually but if it's really bad I get spanked or paddled.

I get grounded (varies, like grounded from going places, grounded from internet, grounded from having friends over). Sometimes loss of privilege, or even having my mobile taken away.

I get in trouble a lot but my parents don't punish me, mainly bc they know idrc. They've tried everything from whooping me, to taking my stuff away, to sending me to my room, etc. but nothings worked bc I simply like pain, there's not much to take away from me, I have a window in my room, and I can simply whoop em harder than they whooped me bc I usually find myself in Juvie. This is the longest i've stayed out of detention...

the worst punishment I can imagine having to talk stuff out with my parents.
fortunately I'm an angel, at least to my parents. So I'll never be the suspect. -
In my family there is no real punishment, my parents are more open to kindness and discussion and expression of emotions.

i get grounded and get things taken away from my dad he is very strict, depending on what ive done this could be grounded for like 2 months.
then after the time i will have to sit down with my dad and talk to him and sorta reflect what i did. But there is no abuse or anything like that just like talking. I am mainly now pretty goodI am very friendly, very curious, Just want to chill out most of time -

and the talk afterwards is really awkward.
there r ppl i have seen at school that have it bad. they get hit. and they have marks when they come to school the next day. when somebody has a mark, most ppl don't say anything. but u can tell the kid is in a bad way mentally about it. why do parents hit their kids? if they hit somebody else's kid they go to jail. hit their own and nobody says a thing. it's just not right. -
yeah the talk afterwards is very awkward i dont like at all. but i guess its good in some ways. i am pretty close with my dad.
no its not right that parents hit there kids its not rightI am very friendly, very curious, Just want to chill out most of time -
My parents will ground us, take devices away, restrict internet access. Stuff like that. Lots of conversations happen. My parents are very involved with all of us.
And parents shouldn't strike their kids. It doesn't solve a darn thing ... ever. -
Sent to my room, no tv, no computer, no tablet, no phone, no going out
