I didn't really think about it much when I first answered as I don't really have a set of rules written down or even in my head, really. But from reading this thread, here are mine, most of which are implied and are respected without having to be spelled out in my family:- Wash your hands before entering when you come from outdoorsnotthatchrisevans wrote:
Yeah, I have rules for my bedroom. Pretty much everything others have said.
- No shoes (That's for the whole apartment. It's customary in Austria to leave them at the door. We have slippers or rubberised socks that we wash between guests.)
- Knock and wait for a reply before entering
- Don't touch or open anything without asking (= don't snoop around)
- Don't move anything, especially nothing on my desk
- Ask before borrowing anything
- No food or drinks on the bed
- No outdoor clothes on my bed if the bed isn't made and the bedspread not on
- Don't make and especially don't leave a mess
- When we play with, e.g., Legos, help put them away afterwards
- Don't be disgusting (= don't burp or fart on purpose, pick your nose or not wash your hands after the toilet and then touch my things )
- You don't need to like the posters and art on my wall, but you don't have to go on about not liking it either
I think that's about it.
Probably a rule too, but not just in my roomPultost wrote:

At school:
Ask before you eat my snacks.
Do not put your feet on my bed with your shoes on. This should not even be a thing that needs to be said.
Do not touch the drum practice pad/sticks or guitar without asking.
Do not "borrow" any of the charging cables I have in the USB hub on my desk and make me go look around for them. -

I don’t have any rules, I just expect people to use the same respect as they would if I was in their room
-
I don't have any specific rules, just don't trash my room or my stuff.
-
Ask before you touch. Do not snope
-
I tend to keep my room tidy so clean up after yourself and treat my room with respect is all
-
If you tear my bed apart. or make a mess on/in it, remake it with a clean bedsheet and blanket.
If the door is closed, don't come in.
Don't touch my computer or any part of it without my permission.
Don't tell me my room is a mess. If you don't like it, just put my dirty clothing in the laundry rather than tell me about it.
If you bring in food or drink, it is half for me.
No shoes. If you somehow got past the outside door without my mum making you taking them off, take them off before you step inside my room.
If you are wet, strip down or get dry before you come into my room.
Don't tell me how to dress or not dress. It's my room, I can do what I want.
Don't interrupt me when I am gaming.
Most rules can be ignored by my best friend. But no one else. -
I share a room with brothers but we don't have like written rules...I guess I'm lucky that my brothers and friends are respectful while they're in there...just kind of an unwritten rule of keeping your hands off each other's stuff, keep our areas clean and thats about it. We really don't eat in there either.

As a kid it really bothered me when other kids visiting my room would mess my toys up and not put them back where they were. And I wouldn't let anyone go near the Play-Doh because I know they would just mix the colors together until they were all brown.
At this age I don't have many rules but in general I don't like people hanging out in my bedroom much? It seems too personal somehow. There are better places in my house (or now, my off-campus apartment) where we can spend time. Doesn't mean I won't let them in there, but it's not a "hang out" space. -
Just don't snoop around and don't be rude about anything
