Chilly or cold weather, for rain a water proof jacket or pullover, jeans. Sunny weather whatever thickness jacket I need and jeans, shorts if not bitterly cold.

Warm weather, for rain a light waterproof jacket and shorts. Sunny day shirt and shorts

For work or rough terrain hiking or some other outdoor activity (also in rain), the brand Fjällräven is my choice.



But for city and shopping, this is it

If it is reallllllly rainy and wet, I wear waterproof jacket, and waterproof pants over my jeans. At school, I can take them off and be dry.
If just mildly wet like it is 300 days a year, lol, rain waterproof jacket, or puffy jacket.
In cold, puffy jacket. Perhaps long underpants under my jeans.
In the summer, I prefer shorts and t-shirt.
I wear rather much the same shoes all the time, except in the muddy rain, then I wear rubber boots if walking. Still normal shoes if bicycling.

If it is warm and thunderstorm-pelting-rain, nude is best.... just strip down, run out into the garden and let the hard rain pound on you for the few minutes it lasts. It feels wonderful!

I don't really dress for sun vs rain. I dress for the temperature. If it's cold I have to dress warmer with jeans or leggings with a long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt and boots. Warmer weather I prefer skirts or shorts and tank tops or sundresses. If it's warm but raining, I just don't go outside.
Where I live it can fluctuate from -30f in the winter to 100f in the summer so we have to have clothes for every possibility.

On a sunny day I'll wear shorts and a tee

If it's raining I'll just stay inside

Of course, it all depends on temperature, too

the same thing. You learn just because it one weather, theres always a good chance it'll change in a few minutes

Waterproof hiking cargo pants and boots, oversized parka

In summer, shorts and a tee, socks and shoes. That's all. Nothing else needed.
