Rainy poem

    • I wrote this the other day, when it was raining loads. Hope you like it :D

The piter pater of the rain,
A ticking clock inside my brain,
      Streaming down my window frame,
      Flowing down into a drain.

      Pools of water now everywhere,
Put on your wellies then do you dare,
To jump into one with no care,
And create a wave with no compare.

Now your clothes are soaking wet,
Throw them right into the washing basket,
Use a dryer with the force of a jet,
Then snuggle up under your warm duvet set.

Then you start to fall asleep,
From the relaxing rains rhythm that does creep,
Calming your brain like counting sheep,
Till your dreams are now oh so deep.
