Have there been attempts to ban books at your school?

That's what I mean @Sean2001 IF a school board actually banned a book (not too likely, possible, it happens, but typically just talks about it) it would still be sooooo easy to get that book somewhere else.

yeah, we're definitely going backwards. especially florida, that state is turning into a shitshow. racism, transphobia, and homophobia is running rampant over there, and its reflected in their book bannings. if anyone lgbt is living in florida, you need to get out as soon as you can. its beyond help at this point.

That was interesting. I like Wikipedia despite it getting a bad rap sometimes. It's interesting to me to see lists. That's sort of how my brain learns best I guess. However regarding banned books, I still don't think it's a ton of books banned in the entire world for as long as the world has been around. I'm American and there seemed to be approximately 20-30 banned books on that list. Of those I can say I've read 6 of them so in my opinion they really aren't banned. I'm not even a book reader, so I imagine a lot of people have read more from that list. But in a perfect world no book would be banned and people could simply be free to read what they want.

Banning stuff seems to be the best way to get people interested in it

There's a school in the Toronto, Ontario area that removed all books published before 2007 in order to create a more inclusive library.
