I am not made of money but I don't want to weird them out by asking
Is it weird to ask your parents for shaving equipment?

No it's not weird. If they are ignorant to that kind of teen problem, something is wrong.
They shouldn't even say "What do you need that for?""Comedy is like sex. If they haven't made a noise in a while, change what you're doing" - Sara Pascoe -
I don’t think so. Shaving is not a sexual thing at all.
-
when I was younger my mum gave me some to use. I'd still be OK if she was going shopping to ask if she could get some if I needed to

Not at all. I am not sure how many parents would be aware of the current fashion for guys shaving their pubes so if a 12 y/o boy asks he may get a funny look, but for girls there has been a social convention to shave legs, armpits and, if you want, public hair for a long time so I don't think they would be the least surprised. You should be able to have a easy conversation about what kind of thing you're after.

just because someone asks their parents for shaving equipment does not immediately mean shaving their pubic area. Girls as young as 11 or 12 can be shaving their legs and same thing for boys they might want to shave the peach fuzz from their face.
-
Not weird at all. Perfectly normal. It’s your body.
-
wasn't weird when i asked for a razor and shaving cream, i imagine yours will just assume legs/arm-pits and if you shave more that's up to you and they won't know
-
I mean for me at the very beginning a probably used my dad’s razor once a week. As I got older I bought my own disposable razors. I still probably only shave maybe one or two times a week.
-
I don't think it's weird. But they might start asking questions. Trust me, it can be awkward.

Did you ask them? How'd it go?

And she got them for you? Or at least gave you money?
It's annoying how parents forget when they were growing up they probably hated if their own parents behaved how they do now. -

no idea lol it kinda scares me but I want to be able to shave me legs if I need to but I might not until someone comments on it lmao

Don't worry, it's something almost everyone does. Although it does feel like the whole world is watching and they know it's your first time. No one knows and no one really cares.

I used my dad's razor the only time I shaved my pubic hair and I didn't ask him. I probably should have asked for shaving equipment for myself but I didn't want to talk about it. Later I got my own shaving stuff for under arms.
