You don’t know if you wouldn’t like being whole more though
what if your son resented being altered just because you wanted him to be

You shouldn’t be deciding what someone else’s dick should be like

it’s just as immoral as female genital mutilation
    - not as bad but just as immoral
being circumcised as a baby is that the same thing as a 12 year old being circumcised because they can’t behave
  • Hard to believe that such a thing happened. Searched reddit and didn't really found such a thread matching the claim of the OP . Besides:

Mother wants to have her 14-year-old son circumcised for watching porn.
    reddit.com/r/thatHappened/comm…o_have_her_14yearold_son/
which I found not very believable

hence, i rely more on this thread even it says nothing about punishment but for religious reasons or such.

My parents want to circumcise me. I don't want to. How do I convince them not to do it?

So, for context, I'm 14, male (obviously) and lives in the Philippines (which circumcision is seen as a rite of passage.) My parents are currently planning on circumcising me and the singular thought of a doctor mutilating my thing makes me scared to the core. I've tried convincing them not to circumcise me, but they insist. How do I convince them, and more generally, how do I never get circumcised in the first place?

Some people are pro circumcision and some are anti circumcision just like some people are pro or anti abortion. I think you just heard something from one person who's anti circumcision who's just trying to use scare tactics to convince you not to do it. I've read stories about how in Philippines culture circumcision as a preteen is extremely common. As someone who is circumcised and likes it. I would say do it, I think you would like it. It looks cleaner, easier to keep clean, and less likely to get infected.
