Girls poll: Are you on birth control?

Well I did have a school friend who was put on the pill almost two years before me, she was eleven at the time.
I don't honestly know if there is a minimum age here in the UK, I guess it must be up to the Doctors/GP's and the parents to decide and agree what is best. -

I guess what I was wondering is could an 11-year-old girl that started puberty take birth control. Not necessarily for prevention of pregnancy but also for painful menstrual.

Naturally it is now a bit part of my contraception safety as well. -

I think I understand the question, but it's maybe not the best way to word it.
There is ...and really isn't....a minimum age.
Example: An eight year old who hasn't started puberty at all probably shouldn't be taking pills. In this way, there *is* a minimum age. I don't want to know what'll happen if she does. Probably nothing bad will happen, but I really don't want to find out.
But I have a cousin who is 16. Her periods are awful beyond belief. She has no desire to have sex yet, but she's on the pill to help lessen her cramping.
As Emma said, it's kind of up to that situation. It's sort of like our parents, I guess. I have to be home at a certain time, which really means 5-10 minutes before. I have friends who are out much later because they don't care.
With the pill, there really isn't any global/universal plan. It all depends on the doctors/parents/teen. -
so I guess if a 10 year old girl started getting her menstrual cycle and it is painful, could she already be on birth control? Realistically, I doubt very many girls would actually have a menstrual cycle at eight years old, but some could start as early as 10.

Yes I was, cause my periods were seriously random and painful.
I know I would sometimes forget to take it, gonna try better when I go back on. -
why did you stop taking birth control?

I actually thought you were kidding about being pregnant. That means that you got pregnant at age 12.
