I mostly wear a shirt and jeans, how come I look significantly more shit in it than others? I am slim and on the shorter side, what can you recommend? How do dress and when do you know you look good in it?

Do they fit you well? For me that's the most important part. The shirt shouldn't hang off you, whether it's a Tee or button down. Same for jeans.
Can you ask friends at school, or family members for advice? Sometimes what we see in the mirror isn't what others see, so they may think your clothes look good on you -
From what I can see, shirts are a bit too big, jeans fit but look really odd in the hip area

Find a tailor and get something custom made. Not cheap though!

A nice shirt that fits properly (not too tight or too loose) and some slacks rather than jeans goes a long way in my book. That's just me, though.Keyboard not found. Press F1 for help.

you gotta layer and accessorize . an overshirt can really elevate looks + keep old outfits fresh . and also accessories are very important ! if u arent comfortable wearing chain necklaces or masculine rings then a watch could be good already

I guess it depends on the look you want to go for. Shirts might work well for you in the summer, even short shelved, but short enough that you don't need to tuck them in.
Not a fan of necklaces or rings on boys, but it's preference. I do recommend a real watch though if you want a useful accessory. Not too big.19, Twin. -
One thing that can help is try and match clothing. Find clothing with matching colors and styles (shoes as well). It puts some effort into it, making it look like you care, instead of just throwing something on quickly in the morning.
