One of my favourite bands and probably my favourite song by them. Heavy ... driving ... angry ... something different!

I've been listening to some music at home since the house is so freaking quiet tonight. These two women are power houses in the rock world currently and have remarkable voices. The lyrics to this song are exceedingly impactful as well. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I did. It is simply beautiful.

I love everything about this song. I love the lyrics. I love what it means to me when I hear them and how they make me feel. I love how well their voices work together. Together we can overcome everything that individually makes feel as though we've hit a wall ...

This is a song about the feeling of being in a dream-like state, where reality and imagination coexist. Sort of reminds me of my childhood days where my imagination was vivid and innocent.

This one is by Tool, who I was fortunate enough to see play on Thursday night in Columbus. They are a progressive rock band out of Los Angelas led by frontman Maynard Keenan. The complexities of their music is unsurpassed. This one is called schism which to me is all about the breakdown of society due to lack of a willingness to communicate. Such an amazing song and this is definitely a group I am going to listen to a lot more moving forward!

Sorry I wasn't listening
Just being silly - yes you are right, there might be more communication but how much of it is meaningful? -

This is both a complex and a heartfelt song. To me it is about longing for someone who took a different path than you did ... for all the wrong reasons. This is a live version of the song. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I was pretty much introduced to this band this weekend past when I was coming home from my tournament with my dad. It is amazing to me how great this band is. Second song in a row by the same group. This one is called High Hopes and to me it's about the dreams of childhood vs the reality of adulthood, and all the expectations that come along with it.

This one is about finding your place in life. Great song by a phenomenal band.

I love the earthy, deep, and melodic sounds of this song. They lyrics are very thought provoking as well. I think this is about coming to terms with what' you've done and where you are at in your life. But maybe it's not.

This song is by the American Rock Band Bad Flower called the Jester which was written as a fuck you to the music industry for not taking the seriously. Ironically the song was on top of the billboard charts for a while and was the most played song in the United States at the time. Lyrically, this is so much more than that. It's a relatively simple song from a construction sense, but the video itself and the lyrics are deeply impactful if you pay attention to them.

I don't know what it is about this song but it makes me emotional. Plus airplanes are so cool.

This is a fitting song for my current state of mind. Lots happening in my world including atheletic commitments, my father moving permanently overseas (parents are divorced), and other things that are contributing to more stress than I want to really handle. This song sums it up though ... The surfing side of me loves reggae music a lot ... the composer of this song is pretty much the king as far as reggae music goes.

This is a song that I just really like. The Killers isn't a band that I listen to a whole lot, but when I'm in the mood for them, I definitely do and this is probably my favourite by them.

This song is legendary. U2 wrote this as a dedication to Dr. ML King, who was assassinated on April 4, 1968, a date that is referenced in the lyrics. This is about so much more than this though. To me it's about love for all humanity and is fitting for this month, which is Pride Month!
