Jade's Dark Poem

    • Jade's Dark Poem

I've probably posted some of these poems before. But I know some people like my poems (even if I do seem to write sad, dark stuff  , its what I'm good at being) I'll maybe post a new one each week till I've ran out

Here's my first one (for New Year, and might be relatively happy  )

Good Friend :play: Kinda Romantic  Ready to Rock :zomg:

"If you try to follow fashion you'll always be chasing, and probably never catch it. If you be yourself and make your own style, fashion might just bump into you one day."
    • New Year Poem

      A new year is here
      A new beginning
      Starts with drinking lots
      And heads go a spinning

      Can you stick it out
      A year of your resolution
Or do something for the world
      Help with your little contribution

      The whether will always change
And seasons will come and go
But friends and family will stay
      And support you, you know

      Let's make it the best
      Live life to the full
Look for the good in life
      And ignore all the bull'

Good Friend :play: Kinda Romantic  Ready to Rock :zomg:

How is the last verse going for you so far, Jade?
Badly :/ it's very hard to ignore the bull' when as mod of the site it's what I'm looking out for

But mostly it's going OK  or trying to

    • I wrote this one the other day in the middle of the night. Mostly just things I wrote down so I could get them out of my head so I could sleep   (I think it started as one thing then ended up something else part way through)

      When from your head,
You hear that little voice inside,
That tells you to be scared,
      To run, to hide.

      To doubt you're ever be,
      Worth anything,
      That you'll always fail,
No matter how hard you think.

When you look at those numbers,
      Or words on a page,
      But they make no sense,
      So you start to rage.

      They tell you to concentrate,
      Must try harder,
      But you give your everything,
      There is no further.

      You don't see the faults,
      That others see,
      You miss the things,
      Others see easily.

      You think you're stupid,
      Or something wrong,
      When you try so hard,
      And work so long.

      To find the words,
      Everyone knows are a mistake,
But to me they look correct,
      With every look I take.

      So even when I'm told,
      Look out how you spell,
      It just looked right,
      I couldn't tell.

      So just remembered however,
      It affects ya,
      It's not you being stupid,
      It's just Dyslexia

    • one of my older poems, that if you've known me for a really long time you've possibly read before

      Would you tell truth

Would you ever tell the truth,
Call it out from upon a roof.

Sing it out just like a bird,
      Till everyone around had heard.

Send it out with a tweet,
It runs around on padded feet.

Paint it big so that all can see,
It's buzz around just like a bee.

It beat a rhythm to your heart,
Now it's time to do your part.

So can you really tell the truth,
And set out every ounce of proof?

    • This poem started as what is now become the last verse, I sent it as a Valentine's text years ago to someone I really like loved:

      I don't believe in fairytale
And happy ever afters ain't that true
      But one thing I wish
There'll always be a me and you

It's probably 4 lines, that contain 100s of lines I could write about love, growing up and life in general.

      Happily Ever Afters

When I was young I liked to dream
      Of being a fairytale princess
Living in a far away land
And wearing a fabulous big dress

So many colours it could be
      Green, yellow, pink or blue
      Spinning around on the spot
      Giving everyone a beautiful view

With all the things I could do
Like meeting my Prince at a ball
I'd imagine getting swept off my feet
As we danced around the hall

Or a witch would put me under her spell
"You will sleep forever more by this"
Till along came my handsome saviour
To wake me up by true loves kiss

I might have a wicked step mother
Who'd lock me away in a tower
I'd grow my hair oh so long
As I sat passing away every hour

Then along would come a brave knight
To climb up my long braided hair
Save me from my evil captor
Marry me and say i am so fair

But life's not like a fairytale
And happy ever afters ain't that true
But if I could get one wish
It's there will always be a me and you

    • I really like this one as every other line rhymes (fun how many rhymes with there :D ) it also probably quite well describes the feeling of seeing your crush in class but being to scared to say anything (and the thoughts I'd get)

      Boy Who Sat Over There

      Hello boy,
      Who sat over there,
      Do you know,
      Or do you care?

      Sitting here,
      Or sitting there,
      Far from me,
      It isn't fair.

      There you are,
      Sitting on your chair,
      Sun lights you up,
      With it's full glare.

      You look my way,
      You look so fair,
      I'm twisting my finger,
      Though my hair.

      In that top,
      You always wear,
      And how I wonder,
      What you got under there

      With your strength,
      Just like a bear,
      You could throw me up,
      Into the air.

      You take a bite,
      Out of a pear,
      I'd kiss those lips,
      If only I dare.

      You turn away,
      With such a flare,
      A sweeping motion,
      Of your hair.

      You start to leave,
      Oh do you care,
      Not seeing you again,
      Gives me a scare.

      You leave the room,
      With no fanfare,
      Leave me alone,
      Are you even aware.

      Of that boy,
      Who sat over there,
      Does he know?
      How much I care.

      In my room I think,
What you'll do with what I wear,
      Now I think it's time,
      I best leave it there.

      Now about the boy,
I knew that sat over there,
Does he think of a girl,
Who sat all that way over there?

    • A little poem for Mothering Sunday (mothers day)

      Mum's most surely,
      Are the best
      They'll love you more,
      Than all the rest

      They'll cook your food,
      And butter your bread
      They'll read you stories,
And tuck you up in bed

      They'll make you smile,
      When you want cry
      When you feel low,
      They'll hold you high

      They'll clean your cuts,
      And listen to your mistakes
      They'll hold you tight
      When your first love breaks

      So let them know,
      However you want to say
      Your the best mum
      Happy Mother’s Day

    • A poem for spring :D (when ever that might start :/ )

      Can you hear that ring?
      The ring that heralds spring

The spring of a lamb that's newly born
Born near a field of bright yellow corn

The corn that's food for your table
The table to sit around when we are able

Able to feel it getting hotter
Hotter so now we need some water

The water that form clouds to deliver
Deliver rain down into the river

The river that flow gently from the hills
The hills covered from head to toe in daffodils

The daffodils mixed with other flowers
The flowers bees fly between for hours

The hours growing lit by the sun
The sun allows us out to play and have fun

The fun we have when all our chores are done
Done so we can go into the garden

The garden filled with the plants we grow
Grow from the seeds we neatly sow

So now you hear the ring
      The ring that heralds spring

    • Easter Poem

      Wake up its easter
      I hear a rustling sound
      Coming from the bushes
Then down on to the ground

      Here come the easter bunny
      A basket full of eggs
      Hopping this way and that
      On its bouncy little legs

      Eggs of ever colour
      Red, yellow, green and blue
      Painted with every pattern
      You could ever do

      Now it's time for eating
      These oval chocolate treats
Break it down, it cracks open
      Filled up with tasty sweets
