You gotta' give yourself the right opportunity. You gotta' be a go-getta', you can't just sit on your computer and fret about it all day. If you really want a spicy life, with plenty of fun, you need to work at it. Meaning, you get out, be daring, make more friends, and show 'em you're out to have a good time. Don't forget you have balls too, use them correctly.

Poster - everyone has down moments, I think it's 1 in 5 people experience depression in their life.

There's a way through it, you need to be confident, you need to make friends, it may be hard since you never really had friends, but my advice to making friends is the less you say - the better you seem, now this only comes into effect when you're in a group. So if you're by yourself, you need to find someone who has the same interests.

You may need to vent, if you can't find your parents approachable, try speaking to a teacher or to the school counseler. In my experience, the counselers there seem pretty crap, but they do their job decently.

Ask your parents to take you to someone who can help...

Sign up for a sport, develop an interest, join groups for that interest...

It's basically all the advice I can give you without knowing more about your current state and how you feel.

But self-harm isn't the way out, it's the fools way of solving a problem, it'll only create more problems and will probably end yourself up in a loony bin.
