I highly recommend the book 'Go Ask Alice'. I'm reading it again now, and I still find myself interested.
It is a diary of a girl caught up in finding herself, and in hard drugs, who almost makes it to a better life. And for a feel of how the book goes, listen to the song by Jefferson Airplane, 'White Rabbit'.
Another good book; 'Under the Wolf, Under the Dog'. About a teen boy who runs away from home after his mother passes. Really on par with people who enjoyed 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'.
If you haven't read these already, that is. Enjoy.

Depending on what you're into try The Crimes of Love by The Marquis de Sade; it's a series of stories, mainly set in France about various ladies and how they are seduced, sodomised, abused and various other things. It sounds nasty, but it's actually quite a good read, it shows you how ahead of his time, De Sade was.
Catch 22 by Joseph Heller is also a good one. It's about a guy who pretends he is injured so he can't fight in the war. Very good. Classic.

Catcher in the Rye is a great book.
The Fountainhead. It's hard to say what it's about. On the top it's about architecure. Art.
It's the best book I have ever read.
Its a great teenage book - I did it for my English Literaturte GCSE a few months ago.
I have also written a set of 5 books myself if you want me to mail you them.
