Have you ever felt identified to the lyrics of a song??

    • Have you ever felt identified to the lyrics of a song??

im just wondering if anyone has ever felt identified to a song, i want you to post the lirycsor maybe the part of the song of whic you are identified to and explain it!

i feel idnetified with this one

All my life - Foo Fighters

with this part of the song especialy:

All my life I've been searching for something
Something never comes never leads to nothing
Nothing satisfies but I'm getting close
Closer to the prize at the end of the rope
All night long I dream of the day
When it comes around then it's taken away
Leaves me with the feeling that I feel the most
The feeling comes to life when I see your ghost.

its just that it explains what i go trough all my life

Pollyanna Flower, by Alanis Morissette. This song bout made me cry when i heard it the other day. Actually, I'm planning on getting a tattoo that has one of the lines from this song incorporated into it: "Between violence and silently seething." that line just strikes me as "wow". lol anyway, here's the lyrics. I identify with it because it basically describes my entire childhood and family life.

      (Through you, I see, I...)
Between a broken nose and a fake smile
      Between piety and gunpowder
Between fighting and fleeing the scene
      Between murder and diplomacy
      Between regression and in oblivion
Between brutal and realistically well behaved
Between sleeping and pulling in the reins
      Between tiptoeing and ambling

What am I to do with all this fire?
(I'd like to hit you, but I could never hit you.)
Would you stay with me in this red space?
(I'd like to slap you, but I could never slap you.)

      Chorus (2X):
      Between violence and silently seething
Between my fist and my pollyanna flower
Between "Fuck you!" to your face and "It's all right."
      Between war and denial.

Between flying vases and secretly weeping
Between loose cannons and ever downplaying
      Between bruises and nobly deferring
      Between bursting and boiling

What am I to do with all this burning?
(I'd like to hurt you, but I could never hurt you.)
Do I overwhelm you in this place?
(I'd like to kill you, but I could never kill you.)

      Chorus (2X)

What am I to do with all this fire?
Can you understand me in this place?

Cos' love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you, to care for people on the edge of the night
And love dares you, to change our way of caring about ourselves
This is our last dance, this is our last dance
      This is ourselves, under pressure
      Under pressure, pressure

Massive Attack's "What Your Soul Sings":

      Don't be afraid
      Open your mouth and say
Say what your soul sings to you
      Your mind can never change
      Unless you ask it to
      Lovingly re-arrange
The thoughts that make you blue
The things that bring you down
      Only do harm to you
      So make your choice joy
      The joy belongs to you
      And when you do
You'll find the one you love is you
      You'll find you love you

      Don't be ashamed
To open your heart and pray
      Say what your soul sings
      To you
      So no longer pretend
That you can't feel it near
      That tickle on your head
      That tingle in your ear
      Oh ask it anything
      Because it loves you dear
      It's your most precious king
      If only you could hear
      And when you do
You'll find the one you need is you
      You'll find you love you
And your very flesh shall be a great poem.

      No Good Deed From Wicked

      ELPHABA
      (spoken) Fiyero!
      (sung) Eleka nahmen nahmen
Ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen
      Eleka nahmen nahmen
Ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen

Let his flesh not be torn
Let his blood leave no stain
      Though they beat him
      Let him feel no pain
      Let his bones never break
      And however they try
      To destroy him
      Let him never die:
      Let him never die:

      Eleka nahmen nahmen
Ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen
      Eleka nahmen nahmen
Ah tum ah tum eleka: eleka:

      What good is this chanting?
      I don't even know what I'm reading!
I don't even know which trick I ought to try
      Fiyero, where are you?
      Already dead, or bleeding?
One more disaster I can add to my
      Generous supply?

      Unlimited
      The damage is unlimited
To everyone I've tried to help
      Or tried to love
And, oh, Fiyero, you're the latest
      Victim of my greatest achievement
In a long career of distress
Every time I could, I tried making good
And what I made was a mess!

      No good deed goes unpunished
No act of charity goes unresented
      No good deed goes unpunished
      That's my new creed
      My road of good intentions
Led where such roads always lead
      No good deed
      Goes unpunished!

      Nessa:
      Doctor Dillamond:
      Fiyero:
      Fiyero!!

      One question haunts and hurts
Too much, too much to mention:
      Was I really seeking good
      Or just seeking attention?
Is that all good deeds are
When looked at with an ice-cold eye?
If that's all good deeds are
      Maybe that's the reason why

      No good deed goes unpunished
All helpful urges should be circumvented
      No good deed goes unpunished
      Sure, I meant well -
Well, look at what well-meant did:
All right, enough - so be it
      So be it, then:
      Let all Oz be agreed
      I'm wicked through and through
      Since I can not succeed
      Fiyero, saving you
      I promise no good deed
Will I attempt to do again
      Ever again
      No good deed
      Will I do again!

Me, too. I listen mostly to music without lyrics. I generally don't "identify" with music, but I find some pieces resonate with me a lot better than others.

      You were once
      my one companion . . .
      you were all
      that mattered . . .
      You were once
      a friend and father -
      then my world
      was shattered . . .

      Wishing you were
      somehow here again . . .
      wishing you were
      somehow near . . .
      Sometimes it seemed
      if I just dreamed,
      somehow you would
      be here . . .

      Wishing I could
      hear your voice again . . .
      knowing that I
      never would . . .
      Dreaming of you
      won't help me to do
      all that you dreamed
      I could . . .

      Passing bells
      and sculpted angels,
      cold and monumental,
      seem, for you,
      the wrong companions -
you were warm and gentle . . .

      Too many years
      fighting back tears . . .
      Why can't the past
      just die . . .?

      Wishing you were
      somehow here again . . .
      knowing we must
      say goodbye . . .
      Try to forgive . . .
      teach me to live . . .
      give me the strength
      to try . . .

      No more memories,
      no more silent tears . . .
      No more gazing across
      the wasted years . . .
      Help me say
      goodbye.

Yeah, many times, with a lot of lyrics. :p

So, so you think you can tell
      Heaven from Hell,
      Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field
      From a cold steel rail?
      A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade
      Your heroes for ghosts?
      Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air to a cool breeze?
      Cold comfort for change?
      Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war,
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
      We're just two lost souls
      Swimming in a fish bowl,
      Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
      Have we found?
      The same old fears.
      Wish you were here.

I have screamed until my veins collapsed
I've waited last, my time's elapsed
Now, All I do is live with so much fate
I've wished for this, I've bitched at that
I've left behind this little fact:
You cannot kill what you did not create
I've gotta say what I've gotta say
And then I swear I'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the words
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like on big past
You'll live with me 'cause you left me no choice

I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
      If the pain goes on,
      I'm not gonna make it!

      Pull me back together
Our seperate the skin from the bone
Leave me all the Pieces, and then you can leave me
      alone
Tell me the reality is better than dream
But I found out the hard way,
      Nothing is what it seems!

      Simle plan-Welcome to my life
This song describes my life, so it's always with me on my ipod!

Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
      And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

No you don't know what it's like
      When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
      To be like me

      To be hurt
      To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
      Welcome to my life

Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more?
      Before your life is over
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
      While deep inside you're bleeding

No you don't know what it's like
      When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
      To be like me

      To be hurt
      To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
      Welcome to my life

No one ever lied straight to your face
And no one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
You never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like, what it's like

      To be hurt
      To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you

To feel like you've been pushed around
