Well its about that time again. Wrestling season starts in a little while and i want to cut about 20 pounds in a month and a half. I am 130lbs and want to drop down to the 112lbs weight class. Any good tips to keep muscle while cutting the fat? Any good exercises for cutting weight other than running(boring as hell)? I have never really had to cut this much weight before so just wondering.

Well I definitely dont wrestle...but my friend does and he is on a liquid diet to lose weight. He said it works cause of the whole sweating and losing water weight n what not.
Just a suggestion. -
Lots of water, salad, veggies.. Treadmill/Elliptical.

Lol ignore those 2, they wanna loose weight.. not maintain muscle
You basically want to find out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and eat -200 calories from that. You should have a 40/40/20 or 50/40/10 (carbs/protein/fat) intake. Do all the weights you normaly do and go for a run atleast 3 times a week.
If you want real proper advice i suggest Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. . Find some of they're cutting articles, you may not be a body builder, but the human body is the same no matter who you are; so the same techniques apply. Also.. if you follow those articles, they're 100% designed to maintain as much muscle mass as possible while loosing weight. -
Thanks i will take a look at that site hopefully it helps

That's a lot of weight to lose. You must be a tiny guy. Are you sure this is healthy or isn't there a closer weight class?? My suggestion is that or lots of protein and veggies. Starving yourself and dehydrating your self won't work.

Hey, I was wondering you guys seem like you know what you're talking about so I'm gonna ask for help. I'm 6' and 160 when I used to weigh 140 and now my clothes are not fitting so well. I eat very healthily around 2100-2300 cals a day and I know I burn 4000 but my weight isn't changing in the way I'm hoping to lose a few...
I exercise every day (cardio) for at least an hour too, any suggestions?
