I think that people can become great friends over the internet, but as for a romantic relationship I think you have to see the other person for that to really work. I don't see how simply chatting over the internet could make two people truly fall in love.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I am pretty apt to think that their relationships are missing something on a certain level as well. Not really sure what, and I do think it's odd that I somehow think that every relationship should have sex or some sort of physical-ness to it.
Willingly seperating your relationship at such a basic level doesn't seem mature to me, and I don't quite see how it could help the relationship any more than if you were to not take those vows. If someone needs to abstain from things of that nature to strengthen their bond then that, to me, says more about their lack of commitment and ability to get close to their partner than anything else. -

It's that they're taught by their Christian leaders they they show their physical lurv to one person and only one person. I think it has to do with keeping them from putting themselves in a position where they have sex with a person before marriage, which is considered sinful and ruins the specialness of it.
Whether or not you agree, you have to admit some teens have little self control, 'specially due to hormones. =|She kept lookin' at her watch (Doesn't matter; had sex)

I do agree that many people do not show as much self control as some think they should. More importantly, however, I fail to see why showing that self control makes one a better person (or allows that person to have stronger relationships). Whether you have sex with zero people or five-zero-zero (meaning 500, hehe. Ucwhatididthur), if you love someone and want that sex to be special, then it will be. How many or how few times I have sex has nothing to do with how special or intimate I feel with my partner.
I'm running this topic off-track, haha. Sowwie. -
Perhaps, but some view it differently. Many Christians tend to view sex as a sacred thing to be shared with the one you marry, not just anyone. She kept lookin' at her watch (Doesn't matter; had sex)

There seems, to me, to be a difference between wanting to save sex because you feel sex is intimate enough to share with only one person, and wanting to save sex because you feel that inherently makes your relationship more concrete of a bond or something.
I'm all good with people doing (or not doing) things because they want to, but for them to do something (or not do something) because they think it makes them (or their relationships) better than mine just seems absurd. I dislike people trying to claim that my relationships somehow matter less or will not "live up" to theirs because of mundane choices.
Ok. NOW I'm done ranting. -
was in one, it failed, got in another ended up getting engaged, it failed. I now no longer commit before we go face to face. I dont even let them think of me as a boyfriend until we meet.Gay and looking for a friend? Hell, any sexuality is welcome. PM ME FRIENDS VERY WELCOME! hehe
Reliving life as I should. -
You should do whatever works for you... I'm not looking for a relationship online, but if another person wants to so be it.

for friends etc, no, they don't end, albeit they may not talk for a while, it could be difficult, especially for those in drastically different time zones. however, romantically, i peronally believe all long distance relationships inevitably come to an end. romantically that is.

They work. A lot of effort required, but they do work."Don't let what you can't do, stop you from doing what you can do.

I think love and relationships can come in different forms, i myself have found myself on the other side of a 3 year relationship with someone over the net, iv planned to meet them but if its not me than its them having something pop up and we cant meet, and theres a 600mile distance between us, and we never met for dating believe it or not, they asked me to join there start trek forum and i did and then we got really close, now we speak on the phone and msn as well as forums lol! I believe any relationship will work, as long as theres effort both ways going into it!
