My brother's 11 and he listens to decent music, comes from having two older brothers with impeccable music taste :p

Urgh like 70% of the bands/singers in the charts have pathetic voices.

when i was under fourteen i was listening to all types of music from country and western to heavvy metal.. rock.. soft rock.. death metal, power metal. RnB, Hiphop, rap, punk, techno, trance, jazz, blues, folk, loads i cant remember all the types of music in the world.

Most people haven't been exposed to much music by then, give them a break...

I never liked that pop bullshit. I've always been a classic rock kid.

I'm 14 and i prefer older rock music like STYX, ACDC, Guns 'N' Roses, Black Sabbath, White Lion, and many more bands like that.

Hate to break it to you, but most of these "bands that use prerecorded voices" dont actually use prerecording voices and you are just retarded. believe me... i am in a pop punk band and 2 indie bands, and go to various concerts often.

i dont really care for marilyn manson. escape the fate is alright, but they are both pretty much mainstream screamo.

seriously, who cares how music is produced anyways. as long as it sounds good.

and another thing... why not listen to unsigned bands... they are even better than your bands you mentioned, because they dont have studio tricks and editing to help them out all the time. Let me recommend a few you might like.

when I was 14 my favorite band was Machine head and i could sing along to every tool song on 10,000 Days and Lateralus

I try so hard to listen to the new mainstream stuff but I can't stand it!
Its repetitive, overplayed, noise that makes my ears hurt! More than half the people on the radio can't sing, it's all computerized.

i really think it depends on the person not all 14 year olds are like that iam 15 and well when i was 14 i loved people that wer not on the top 40
