ummm... i'd say 15-19 depending on if they are still in high school or not cause if they aren't then 17-22 not too much different but probably at the same maturity level if they are at similar points in their lives

It really depends on your maturity level I say. I mean if I was 17 I wouldn't date anyone over the age of 22 though or younger then 16. Thats just my opinion, but I'm only 15 right now and so is my boyfriend.
As someone who respects numbers and their use in math, and the complexity of human beings, I really can't give an exact number for this at all. It feels too contrived. Like, why would it be whole numbers anyway? How come there aren't fractions like months or days too?
Speaking in a sense of social responsibility: don't date anyone so young that you'll go to jail for being with them, and don't date anyone so old that they'll go to jail for being with you.
Beyond that, be in a relationship with someone who you can be yourself with, and be independant and not get manipulated or exploited. There are people of the same age who can hurt you or be hurt by you, not just older or younger people, so it's better to worry about the traits people have and not their age.
