Good Movies for a date?

    • Good Movies for a date?

To start off- This topic isn't meant to help me in particular lol. :D If you want to help me, just try to find a movie thats G-PG13 and is currently in theaters in the US.

On this topic you can post movies you think that would be good to see on a date to the movies with your gf, the girl u like, etc.
It can be ANY rating (G-R, just not XXX/Porno lol), and it can be any movie, from Barbie's Horse Adventure (lol) to Saw IV. (Yea i know those movies are not what u would see on a date...but u get the point. ;) )

So...you can kinda tell what this topic is about by the title.
Just post any movie that you think would be good for a date, even if you have seen it or not. ;)

Here are my ideas (i have done a few and the girl has liked them)
      1) Big Fish
      2) Just about any silly comedy (Bill and Ted's, Wayne's World, etc.)
      3) If your very comforatble around ur date maybe Animal House, Superbad, FOrgetting Sarah Marshall, etc.
      4) Star Wars
      5) Indiana Jones

but, overall the key to choosing movies is using what you know about ur date to decide on a movie that u think u will both enjoy. if u cant think of any, u can always search google for "movies for teen dating" or something similar. If u find one but want to know if its good or just about anything else about it, search it on The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) (great for sypnosis and random info about it) or ROTTEN TOMATOES: Movies - New Movie Reviews and Previews! (great for reviews).

Psht I went to see Saw V with my gf...
We go to see a lotta horror movies...she gets scared and wants me to hold her =]
And we see like comedies n stuff.

We watch like any movie together really...its not like there are good movies and bad movies for dates. There are good movies and bad movies, but as long as you both like it it can't be a bad date movie.
We also have a collection of stupid movies like digimon and pokemon and power rangers that we watch...cuz we awesome like that  And James Bond too.

P.S. if you google movies for teen dating you're guna get stuff like High School Musical...so yeah.

When you say "comfortable around your date" does that mean you have to be kinda 'comfortable together' (not in a sexual way lol) when you see a movie that has a sex scene in it?

I wonder what it feels like to see a *hot* sex scene in a movie when ur right next to ur gf.....

If your girl gets startled easily, I suggest taking her to a horror film or watching one that way when she gets scared she clings on to you or holds your hand throughout it.

Also, girls go NUTS for sappy, cheesey romantic or romantic comedies. If you want any examples of good ones, I could list them.

I'd say it totally depends on the girl. I know some girls that love horror and hate comedy and vice versa. Then some that love cars. Some that love action movies. Then the classical ones that love romance and chick flicks.

About the horror movie thing- this girl that I like is 12 1/2, lol. (im 13 but it doesnt really matter)

Is a good example for a currently filming "cheesey romantic or romantic comedies" Confessions of a Shopaholic?

P.S If me and that girl went to see a horror movie do you think she would cling onto me even if it was our first date?

Also, I need a little advice b4 i ask this girl out tomorow, I'm not gonna bring the discussion to this topic so If you wanna help me (which i would heavily appreciate) just go to "Teen Forums>Teen Life Forums>Dating and Relationships>I need some advice on asking this gal out" and answer my flirting question which is on the most recent post lol. (damn, i sound so desprate lol)

If I were you I'd rather try to find a movie she likes than to make her see a movie she will be scared while seeing just so she will cling to you (which might not even happen).

Take her to watchmen. It has a pretty passionate sex scene, if she brings it up after the movie, or seemed uncomfortable with it, assure her you didnt know any such scene was in the movie. otherwise it could lead to a nice enjoyable evening. I loved the movie. I saw it with a ton of friends, and this girl i like kept looking over at me during that scene. lol.

Honestly, I'd say that going to a movie on a date, is one of the least social things you can do, so you sit next to each other and watch a screen.. big deal, for a date you should do something more productive, where you can get to know the other person.. fun things, that will unleash some hidden personality..

things like bowling, rock climbing, etc. are a better way to get to know a person
