1) No, the pill isn't 100% effective. You can get pregnant on it. Is it unlikely? Yes. Is it possible? Yes.
2) Being a day late means nothing. My period is very regular, but I've still been pretty late a few times. You're a teenager; it's normal.
3) Have you never even read the prescription or seen an ad for birth control? It always says that the pill is "99% effective in preventing pregnancy." AND GUESS WHAT? 99% isn't the same as 100%. Truly, it's not. So I'm not sure why someone else had to tell you this.

Take notice of that post - it's the truth!Jusqu'ici tout va bien -
i doubt your pregnant if u were sick that could be the reason[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

No the pill isn't 100% effective, even if you take it EXACTLY as you should.
Anyway, are you preggo? -
How did it go? Are you pregnant?
I'm on the pill as well and it is very effective as long as you take it same time every day. It's effectiveness can be reduced due to antibiotics as well. I thought the same thing had happened to me as I had forgot to take mine one night, luckily I wasn't pregnant but I was still very worried. One day late isn't anything to worry about though.
It's best if your partner wears a condom too though to make sure it's 100% effective against pregnancy and STIs.Just Be Yourself

That happened to me once. it is possible you could be prego, but your body may be changing and that can cause irregular periods- that's what doc told me- and i started 4 days late.

Wait a couple weeks after the missed period (if it's still not there) and take a pregnancy test. These are hard times for dreamers.

It could be possible, but don't freak out.
let me know how it went.
good luck![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

just be positive i dont think anything is gonna go wrong but in case u have a baby do u have any clothes for him  have a nice day

Hmm...how old are you??? But yea a condom would be the smartest option, and no the pill isnt 100% baby proof, even if you're on the pill there is a slight chance!!!
But i think you will be fine...and god man even though i havent got it yet, most of my friends do and i know that it dusnt always come bang on the dot! -
usually the contraceptive pill is not effective at all if you're on anti-biotics or if you have diarhoea etc.
this is why doctors recommend you use ANOTHER form of contraception along with your contraceptive pill.
and like the others have said.. the pill is never 100% effective and i doubt it ever will be.
Good Luck!! xx[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Some antibiotics can affect the pill, so you do have to be careful. It normally tells you on the leaflet if it's one that affects them or not. But don't worry, anything can delay your period a few days. Change of diet, stress, just worrying about it can make it stay away. If you do get away with it this time, you should be extra careful in the futureAaron - Support Leader

If youve taken your pill everyday you shouldn't be pregnant, there is a minor chance but it's less than likely.
If your period is late it could be down to a number of things - weight, stress, even your pill can change your periods occaisionally so I would wait a little longer before worrying!! -
