(This post assumes you want to gain muscle and not fat.. if you want to gain fat the best way really is to eat fast food/pizza/chips 6-10 times a day).
This chart is just about spot on for anyone who wants to gain lean muscle.
Find your (nearest) bodyweight on the left, then look at how many calories you will need each meal/day and how much protien per meal/day. Eating more calories will, most likely, just add extra fat, not muscle.
280lbs (127kg) 700cals x 6 meals = 4200 46g x 6 meals= 280g protein
260 lbs (118kg) 650cals x 6 meals = 3900 43g x 6 meals= 260g protein
240 lbs (109kg) 600cals x 6 meals = 3600 40g x 6 meals= 240g protein
220 lbs (100kg) 550cals x 6 meals = 3300 36g x 6 meals= 220g protein
200 lbs (91kg) 500cals x 6 meals = 3000 33g x 6 meals= 200g protein
180 lbs (81kg) 450cals x 6 meals = 2700 30g x 6 meals= 180g protein
160 lbs (72kg) 400cals x 6 meals = 2400 26g x 6 meals= 160g protein
140 lbs (63kg) 350cals x 6 meals = 2100 23g x 6 meals= 140g protein
So if you are 140lb, you will need to eat 6 meals spread across the day, 350cals per meal and at least 23g of protien per meal. It's important to have these intakes spread across the day because your body needs the constant supply of amino acids, at least for optimum gains.
Another thing if you want to gain muscle is lifting weights. 4-5 days a week of about 45-60 minutes a day. Normally with right diet and training you can realistically gain 5-10lb of muscle a year, maybe more when you're young because you are still growing.[CENTER][CENTER]Taken: Shibuya, Toto-Super Space.
