oh... it is hard becos i don't know what to compare to?? my brother is my age so he was always there...
i think it is depend on how close u are with them.. i am always close to my brother so yes.. like a good friend, but u know u can fight them but everything will always be ok.
and its easier for them to understand u becos they know things like ur family situation and all ur habits... but if ur brother/sister is different age or ur not close.. this things will be different.

Yeah its probably like the feelings of a friend , cousin and parent mixed all into one , I wouldn't know my brothers died at birth b4 I was born so I'm a only child.

whenever i ask people this question, they always say "being the oldest sucks because then you have to deal with annoying little siblings" or "being the youngest sucks because my older brother/sister beat me up"

^agreed. i know parts of it suck but ive seen that if you have a good relationship with a sibling, theres not really anything better.

I wouldn't say it's exactly like having a cousin. I know me and my siblings are closer than that. We argue and fight, but we do love each other.

It's like having your own personal gremlin dedicated to alternating between making your life more difficult, and making your life slightly easier so you have farther to fall later.

Oh, and one with some common sense is good for taking out your aggression on. If he wasn't good at avoiding being hurt beyond a scratch I'd never take a swing at him. I'd never hurt him.

I think it depends on the brother and sister, to be honest. Sometimes, you can develop a really good and close relationship, and it's more like having a best friend than a sister or brother. Other times, you can be totally opposites, and do nothing but argue and fight. I think it's nice to have the first rather than the second. My friend has a constant nightmare with his sister, she's 3 years older, and is always being compared to her. He didn't do quite as well as her when leaving school, so his dad calls him the dumber child. He thinks its funny, but really, it's not

They're like... your bestfriend and your enemy, but
you love them no matter what. You know they have
your back but they get very annoying at times. This
is only at teenage years and younger though. As you
get older, the relationship usually get stronger and
involves less bickering.

I have older siblings and they all buy me stuffffz !
In a way, they're kinda like another set of parents
because they keep me in line. Then again, they're

I've got a brother and a sister, both older than me.. I love them, its great having a brother and a sister. But obviously there are bad things about having them, but mostly good.

I only have one older brother and I can honestly say, I wish had more brothers and sisters. I am 16 and my brother is 24, and I must say that we are BEST friends. My momis 41 will be 42 in a couple of months, and I want my parents to have another child. It prob would not be the same but I would love it. Its like having more than a cousin and best friend together!

I have a step Brother and Step Sister, my sister calls and my brother doesnt...hes a douche bag.

It's great and terrible. Not like a cousin. they can be friends sometimes, but sometimes you hate them...

I'm the youngest out of five kids, but my relationship with each of them are different. I have a brother who is a year older than me and our relationship isn't as strong as I'd like it to be. In other words, we fight and we get competitive a lot. As for my other siblings, there's about a ten-year age difference between us, so our relationship is different. They are at a different stage in their life, but our relationship is strong and growing.

have 2 younger brothers, the one in his teens i don't really talk to him since he does his own thing and is always out but i have a strong and great relationship with my lil 6y yr old brother who is kool and fun to hang out with.
