Friendness

    • This isn't actually my problem however...

My friend Ben has had a major fall out with his bestfriend of 6 years or so. Basically Ant's (Ben's best friend) Girl friend had low sugar levels and Ben refused to give her the can of cola he had; it could have killed her =/. So Ben and Ant's girlfriend had a huge argument they both said they hated each other ect. But Ant took his girlfriend's (of a month or so) side which I don't think was right...

Anyways I'v tried to help to get the two talking and failed misserably, Ant eventually text back to Ben but Ben eventually found out that it was his girlfriend that text him (the texts were loads of abuse but ben's text were actually really sweet). Ben has been there for Ant through thick and thin, Ant is very emotional to the point of suicide which Ben has talked him out of many times as well as his self harming.

I know I shouldn't really be getting involved but it just breaks my heart seeing a guy like this, he loves ant to death :(. I don't know what else I can do for him other than be there.

Any advice on what Ben should do? or Me as his friend ?

Well you should let them deal with it them selves, I know it hurts for you too have to watch them argue or whatever, but if you get involved it COULD make a whole load of matters a lot worse..
Your friend Ant just needs you there at the minute, a listning ear.
Best friends always argue - hopefully things will sort them selves out :)

Aww... that is heart breaking watching the
two people that used to be bestfriends... fighting.

There really isn't a lot to do, unfortunately :/
Sometimes if you try and get yourself involved,
it makes matters worse. For now, just stick by
      both of them.

Of course, if you really want to get involved, you
can do it like how movies do it. They set up a
place and have a plan where Ben and Ant face
eachother (where Ben and Ant are clueless)
then have them sort things out by themselves.

Or lock them in a closet and force them to talk...

But personally, I don't think you should get involved.
Like what Chloe said, bestfriends fight, but things
will sort out on their own.

It really does break my heart though when bestfriends
      fight. But it happens, eh?

What was that quote.... Bros before Hoes? Hah.
Seems like it fits in this situation. Because Ant chose
his girlfriend's side, he's losing his grip with his bestfriend.

      :/

      Hang in there <3 :hugs:

I'm trying to keep out of it, I've told ben just to leave it untill they are in school. Ant's girlfriend isn't letting Ant no where near Ben in the near future which is lame. I got Ben out today which seemed like fun for the best part of it, trying to keep his mind away from the situation.

So it's not exactly Ben and Ant not
wanting to be together, but Ant's
girlfriend not letting them bet together?
That's lame. If she was a true girlfriend
to Ant, she should understand that
they're bestfriends and let them be.

It was one incedent, she should let
it go. But, that's good that you are
helping Ben get through this. It does
get hard leaving a bestfriend unless
you have someone helping you out :]
