I have a Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000. A couple weeks ago I plugged it into my laptop so I could use it. A prompt came up directing me to download the drivers easily. So I did that and the webcam was installed.
Well recently it stopped responding when I plugged it in. No green light flashes anymore to show it's working. So I uninstalled the software. Once I plugged it in to reinstall, I was prompted with a different looking box that the webcam was installed but then the box would disappear. There's no evidence it exists when I go to My Computer or view programs installed on the laptop.
My sister plugged the camera into her laptop to see if the same drivers prompt I had originally had came up. It did. So it's just something with my computer.
What can I do to make it work/install properly again? I went to Google to search for the drivers online, but I didn't have any luck.
