Okay so all these people that agree with shadez and I, are you going to call them a dick and make rude comments on their profiles too?

Stupid idea. Nobody is going to care. I agree with Shadez and Jhizzle on this one. You're not going to do anything and you're not convincing enough people.

You may think there is no difference in if we skip or not, but refusing the government's orders by skipping school therefore proves that we are individual. And if everyone is individual, every soul lost that day is important.

I'm not saying that what you're trying to do is stupid. I love what you are trying to do, the world needs some peace, and we are the only ones that are going to be able to change it. The part I dont agree with is skipping school.
On memorial day what do you do?
- go hang out with friends without thinking of those who have died for you.
On presidents day what do you do?
- go hang out with friends without thinking of the presidents whom have passed on
How is this going to be any different than those days where you dont have school?

Trust me, I like school. I'm not going to waste my time, I'm going to pass out flyers with names of people who passed away saying: Remember 9/11/01. I'll wear red, as I do most Fridays. And, I may yet go to school, just wearing red with a banner that says: Remember on it. Though, getting lots of people to skip is a statement, if I get enough people to be gone that day, there will be a statement, tellin everyone that we valued the lives of those lost, enough to commemorate them in a silent day. I'll do what I believe, you do what you want.
Jshizzle wrote:
yup we value them so much we go hang out and relax without paying any tribute to the actual event

on Memorial day and Presidents day, I spend a minimum of 10 minutes thinking about what the people who died, to cause this holiday, did. I do not intend to skip for the sake of skipping, only to inform and to express what I need to.

I have no doubt of what you do, it's what other people will do. Do you really think some immature students are going to be thinking about those who died on 9/11 or do you think they are going to be sleeping in, hanging out with friends and playing video games.
