Trim everything as short as you can with a nice scissors, then gently take the rest off with a FRESH (not old!) razor (disposable ones work fine). Use lots of shaving cream, and if you can use some of that bikini line lotion stuff it works wonders. Good luck!

My friend told me that he uses one of those electric sheers (like the barber uses, the loud one with the different sized combs attached to it), and then, when it's real short, he'll shave with a razor.

I shaved most of my pubes off last week. Razor burn. But I think I was going against the grain. I will most def try with the grain next time.

I guess I understand. First off, don't make the mistake I made my first
time: Don't just go in and start shaving everything off! There's an order to this.

Trim the hair down using a comb and an electric razor or shears
Take a shower to soften your hair follicles with hot water
After that get some shaving cream (a generous amount)...don't use soap
Then shave the rest using a multi-blade razor (preferably one with a rotatable head)
After you finish you should apply some shaving balm

DO NOT:
Try to shave your balls the first time you shave (too risky!)
Use cheap razors
Shave against the grain: usually shaving "downward" instead of upward helps
WAX! lol
Go Commando after you shave (just throwing that out there)

start by trimming. it itches like hell when you shave it all off and it starts to grow back. it will feel like random needles poking you now and then.

put newspaper down or have a vacuum handy when you do trim.
