I enjoy my meat as much as any American does, but this is akin to puppy mills - raise the animals humanely and kill them humanely.
-
you want your food cheap? its a necessary evil unless you fancy paying twice as much for your food.
complaining about animal treatment then eating the cheapest meat you can get is hypocrisy, and precisely what everyone does.
Either buy free range or stfu and eat is what i say. -
horrible.
i only eat expensive meat and free range. -
I'm against factory farming... most of food from there tastes like shit compared to animals who have enough space for them and get real grass and vegetables. Still, I haven't eaten any meat for about 8 months (excluding some fish) and don't feel any need for it.[CENTER]Son, I am your brother.

I eat free range meat.

It's nessecary. The world is crowding and resources and dwindling, and quite frankly, it's far easier and somewhat cheaper to raise them in a factory. But, it still is a little cruel and disgusting.

...so you still eat meat though, you can't really call it "horrible"

how in the hell do you kill an animal humanely?

Well, you could say you can kill it "more humanely"
What is more humane? you can kill a chicken by swinging it by its legs so the blood goes to its head so it passes out, then you get a nice stick, put it across is neck, put your feet on the stick and pull its head off, clean, dead, probably pretty painless or as close to it as you can get.
Orrrrr, i could chase it round a field playing football with it untill it died.
Both will result in a meal, the second way of getting it would be much less "humane" if you ask me.
