Do you respect your mom, dad, step-mom, or step-dad?

Which parent do you, or do you not respect and why?
What did they do to earn your respect?
What did they do to lose your respect?

If you don't respect them, do you think it is important that they earn your respect back?

Also, do you feel that it is important that you respect at least one parent?

I'm interested to see what other people's relationships with their parents are like, and what they think they should be as far as respect.
