I was a fan of 'emo' bands when I was 13, but I don't listen to them anymore.
But I can suggest one band that I liked way back then, have you heard of Senses Fail?Always believe in yourself and don't give up. ♥

I listen to that kind of music also. its really good music, way better then rap or hip-hop any day.
You can't say that. Yes a lot of rap and hip-hop does suck, but they have great beats. The lyrics are pretty bad though, but like I said, the beat is good.Link(s) removed by staff member

I would consider some of those bands (Hawthorne, MCR) emo. Try Asking Alexandria, they are screamo/emo :)I shall stay with you, not until the end, but always.

This seems to be a pretty ill informed thing to say. I have a pretty expansive taste in music and I would that certain hip hop groups & artists are the most lyrically complex and skilled writers out there.
Busdriver, Adverse, A Tribe Called Quest... you must be talking about some boring commercial top 40 hip hop which is unfair to any artist that doesn't fit into that category.i don't sleep
