:) LSD makes you really hallucinate.
Shroom hallucinations are fun and just swirly, things appear to be moving in rythem, even breathing, have colorful patterns that vibrate, and some things appear to have personality and look to have human characteristics or emotions - but LSD you actually see things completely different. If you stare at yourself in the mirror your face might melt off or turn green or you may turn into an elf with funnny ears and hair. Your dog could turn into a wolf or a huge rabbit. The carpet may appear to be like when you're on an airplane and up in the sky looking down at farm land and small roads and trees. Its nuts.
Definitely different for everyone, and you definitely want to be in a peaceful unstressed happy state of mind.

No. You're completely and utterly 100% wrong. Stop pulling misinformation out of your ass, it's dangerous.

The effects of LSD are similar to other psychedelics, such as mushrooms. You don't ACTUALLY hallucinate - what you see instead are more like distortions of images you already see. Colours are more vivid, patterns may swirl around, walls may look like they're breathing, the grain in pieces of wood may flow like a river - but you will never see anything that's actually not there.

Visuals - while being the most famous component of an LSD trip - are actually probably the least amazing of the effects. LSD is an incredibly powerful drug. While it's safe physiologically, the mental effects are extremely profound and if you aren't prepared for them they can be very disorienting and even frightening.

However, when used in the right circumstances, safely and responsibly, LSD can lead to some incredible insights about yourself, life, and the universe. It can help you with problems you may be having in your life, it can show you things about yourself that you never knew before, and it can lead to a newfound appreciation of art, music, and life.

LSD, and other psychedelics, let you look at things outside of the perspective of everyday experience. It's very hard to describe what this is like to someone who has never tripped, the world is very similar to how you looked at it in childhood.

Psychedelics, when taken in high doses, can also lead to ego-loss. This is the feeling of the loss of identity- of the self. It's extremely hard to describe in words. The boundaries between you and the rest of the world dissolve, your identity as an individual is lost and you instead feel connected to the entire universe. If you are ready and give into this feeling, it's literally the most amazing and beautiful experience available to our consciousness. You will feel pure love like you've never felt before. Words don't exist to describe how amazing it is.

If you decide to try LSD, make sure that you are in a safe environment and in a good mood - the trip is HIGHLY dependent on mood and environment (set and setting). It's literally the difference between 12 hours of pure love and happiness or 12 hours of paranoia and despair.

Also, be sure that the substance you ingest is actually LSD. Other chemicals can be placed on blotter paper (such as substituted amphetamines like DOM) that will make you trip for days.

LSD is often said to be more powerful than mushrooms, but this isn't really the case. LSD lasts longer, has more visuals, has a clearer headspace, and feels more "electric" or "universal." Mushrooms are much more confusing, have different visuals, last only 6 hours, and feel more "organic."

Both drugs have very similar (although very different, at the same time) effects and can both lead to either profound insight or terrible fear. Please educate yourself about psychedelics before trying them - the experience is like nothing else on this planet.
