Also, I lol at children still running XP. It's ~10 years old. Upgrade. -

I have a "ginger" friend who is uptight about his OS. He says XP is the best thing since sliced bread and will never get Vista or 7.. In fact, he was that uptight he upgraded to Ubuntu.

I used xp until October. Some people can't afford to upgrade, and not everyone knows how to torrent. Why not be .. oh I dunno, helpful? Instead of being such an insensitive ass?
Some people do, and WILL accept a free lunch in return -

XP is horrible. I lol at the people who can afford to upgrade and/or know how to torrent 7 but refuse because "XP is so much more stable than 7." No, it really isn't, and it has far more security vulnerabilities as well.
Also, no DX11 support. -
No it depends what laptop you buy.
And if you just bought a new laptop sinc 2 months or so you can get a free Windows 7. -
Yes, but it's better and much less hassle to earn the money.
-
No, you have to buy their software license.

There isn't per se, but I take issue with this because they're just postponing the problem. People are so comfortable with XP because Microsoft waited an abnormal amount of time between the release of XP and Vista. Now the next generation OS is out and people still don't want to switch. In the next four years, when XP's support runs out, Microsoft will have released another OS, and now these people are three generations behind. They're going to be reluctant to switch even more because whatever comes out next is going to be even more different than what's out now, further digging their hole deeper.
This.
It doesnt matter if people are comfortable with it. This is software, it moves forward. People are lucky Microsoft is even supporting XP this long. If people would just bite the bullet and switch, learn whats different in like a week and they will find that it is most likely better for them then XP ever was.
