    • Yes I was. I think it's the sense of high when you get when it's at the peak. That feeling is definitely great. Whenever I feel stress or too tired (sounds contradicting) but yeah I will do it. I'm kinda getting like mixed feelings like should I stop or not from reading online that in the long run, it may hurt your relationship. So I finally am trying to stop.....
    • As a Christian i think masturbation is a SIN and as such punishable by God. I therefore choose not to do it, its hard because the temptation is there and i did it for a few years in early teens and enjoyed it but i serve God and i knew i had to stop so i can't ever masturbate again. As a 16 year old boy i sometimes wish its not a sin but its not worth getting punished for.

Don't start with "as a Christian". I know Christion who think masturbation isn't a sin. Don't try to scare poeple for being human. Masturbation is a natural human behavior. It helps with sexual development. You learn a bit about what you may like or dislike when it comes to sexual interaction. This is something good. I don't say everyone has to do it. If you don't want to, that's fine. But don't scare others, because some people in the old days didn't like it and declared it a sin.

We all know you do it every day and twice on Sundays

it’s not a sin, it’s natural and the bible doesn’t say it’s wrong anyway, that’s just the organised religion trying to shame and control young people
Lust is a sin, playing with yourself isn’t

This does beg the question as to what constitutes addiction. Where is the line between liking something and doing a lot and addiction. Someone can eat a lot of sweets and not be addicted to it.

I would say I came close to addiction but have never been truly addicted. There was a period when I would do it 4 or 5 times a day. The second I got home I would rush upstairs and masturbate. I'd do it most of the evening, meaning I'd have to stay up at night to do my work. I'd then get only a few hours sleep and wake up early to masturbate again so that I didn't feel such a strong urge during the day and could wait until I got home. It was bad and I didn't enjoy it quite as much anymore. One or two of the orgasms felt good but the rest weren't anything special. More just a relief.

I still don't think I was addicted, though, as I could just about control it. I was able to wait until I got home on most days save for a couple of occasions I did it in the toilets. I still kept arrangements (e.g. meeting friends etc.) rather than cancelling and just got masturbation in around the timetable. Nevertheless, it was - at that stage - unhealthy as it was impacting upon my sleep.

I managed to change that, though. I slowly tried to reduce the time I was spending masturbating. At that stage, I was often completely reliant on porn. At least for the last few times of the day. As a result, I tried to avoid devices. I kept my phone downstairs where my parents so I would have to be seen getting my phone if I wanted porn when I was supposed to be doing homework or sleeping.

A complete avoidance didn't work, though, but I managed to limit my masturbation. And even now, I use it as a reward. If I've completed everything for the next day, I let myself watch something or masturbate. I know I'll never be able to cut it out (I did once but then I spent a whole weekend practically non-stop masturbating and then went back to my old ways) so it's best to manage it. Now it's a reward and I do it less (2 times a day) so I enjoy it and I sleep more.

In your case @Iskandar I don't think stopping completely is a good idea. There's nothing wrong with well-managed masturbation. Stopping completely, on the other hand, could be unhealthy. It's unlikely you'll be able to at least not instantly. You'll feel incredibly moody and excessively horny and the second you masturbate again, you convince yourself you've failed so you might as well do it as much as you possibly can.

As long as it's managed and not controlling you, it's fine. And you have to cut back slowly and wisely.
