From what I heard, Fx 3.6 is more unstable than a widowed one eyed depressed grandma with gun bullets for teeth Chrome is the fastest in my experience, and I've tried everything. It's just blazing fast. Startup/running/page loading etc. Even with lots of extensions (though you don't have those on Mac yet).

Quote from Steven: “It's either one, MAYBE two CSS "hacks" or FML. I dunno what you're doing... Currently my website doesn't load any pages in IE, and I really don't care as I don't get that many visitors.” Quote from DamnImGood: “I honestly don't mean to sound insulting, but are you writing standard-compliant code? I ask because IE 7 scored a pathetic 14% on the Acid3 test, IE 8 20%, and IE 9 beta a whopping 28%. I can't recall a time when I scored 20% on a test and was satisfied.” All my layou…

Quote from DamnImGood: “How is it taken out of context?” Because freedom in Linux is different than freedom in Windows. Linux usually being open source is what lets you have complete and total control over the OS itself, not only on apps that run on it. A lot of Windows apps change how Windows works, but they do so in ways that are either by "hacking" the OS or using global shortcuts and the likes to replace ordinary Windows usage. In Linux a lot of apps just modify the source to their needs. Ye…

Quote from DamnImGood: “I suggest reading the middle paragraph of my post. And yes, Internet Explorer 7 and 8 are just as bad. Both of them are horrible when it comes to standards adoption.” They're a lot better than 6, and they're mostly almost-bearable at showing web pages. Yeah, you usually need a hack or two for them, and yeah, sometimes they do a couple of things wrong, but mostly, at about the last 3-4 designs I made, I didn't have to do anything special for IE.

Quote from DamnImGood: “This is always an interesting debate because whenever I design a website I do so according to the standards outlined by the W3C. If it breaks in Internet Explorer that's not my problem. However, with that said, if I were doing a commercial site where I was heavily dependent on visitors to use and navigate my site (especially as a tool to generate revenue) then I would have no choice but to make some amends for Internet Explorer, otherwise it wouldn't be a very successful …

Quote from DamnImGood: “I can have a powerful machine with Windows. I can have complete or near complete freedom with Windows. What advanced things can I not do with Windows that you can do with Linux?” If you hadn't taken that out of context, I meant it as a more advanced OS when regarding to terminal use, and a lot of other buncha stuff a Windows user would probably not feel like touching. Quote from DamnImGood: “Majority of the Internet runs on Linux because it's a) inexpensive and b) because…

Quote from DamnImGood: “Are you serious? The speed I agree with but not the stability. Chrome was plagued with stability issues. It was a running joke because Google always keeps things in beta like Gmail, which is a tried and tested email service for years, but removed the beta tag from Chrome in a matter of months and it had issues left, right and centre. Chrome would be my second choice, though. As for the customization the only add-ons I use are ABP and DownloadHelper. I sometimes use Flagfo…

I'd continue this debate, but DIG and Dr. Drew pretty much said every argument I had in store. xD I haven't used OSX that much, just fooled around for a min-2 tops at Office Depot, so I honestly can't say anything about the OS itself. But what I can say is that the prices they give don't justify it. Also, like DIG said multiple times, and like I've mentioned earlier, OSX and Windows target different audiences. Windows targets the common user which uses the computer for tasks like internet, music…
