My friend wants me to edit one of his senior pictures for him by removing "COPYRIGHT PROTECTED. DO NOT COPY". It's written at least 4 times all across the picture in big white block letters. What is the best way to get rid of that?

The copyright is there for a reason, and that's to protect the rights of the photographer.
And as for removing watermarks, it can be anywhere from medium, to bust-your-head-open difficult, and can be time consuming.
If there is a visible copyright on the photo, then it's a proof. He'll have to pay for the actual print then scan it if he wants it sans watermark. The post was edited 2 times, last by username #92 ().

Removing water-marks from pictures especially if its all across the picture, that will be a lot of work!
Just warning you, that will be a lot of work!
But the most I can tell you is this ... Allow the spot healing tool to be your best friend. Make sure you pick a good size for the spot healing.
Enjoy. Post the picture to see if i can be any sort of help to you. -

I NEED TO SEE THE PICTURE, CUZ IF IT IS THE WAY I AM THINKING IT IS, IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT.
BUT AGAIN, I NEED TO SEE THE PICTURE. CAN YOU SEND ME THE PICTURE BY PM? -
You buy it, photography equipment isn't cheap, can't you pay $5 for a picture?
You'll also get a higher res photograph. -
