There has been a lot of reports lately that today's teens are becoming more and more religious and I am just not seeing it in my community. I for one am not a religious person and have a very hard time beliving in a God when there are so many terrible things happening in the world. How do you feel about religion?
Are you religious?

Religions suck. Being spiritual is the best thing. I am not fond of any religion anymore, I do not obey anyone and I just believe into something beyond and above us all.
-
There are all types of Religions, ones who believe in God and others that believe in other forms of higher power. I believe in God, religion has nothing to do with it. But believing in God, I must believe there is a devil also. God is about freedom of choice, you choose him or choose the devil. He has no say in who believes in him or not, he can't force people to believe. But if you do not believe why should he protect you?

I believe in God, if that's what you mean.
However, I'm taking a tendency to disbelieve in the church. There's a part of me that says: the idea was good and pure in the beginning, HOWEVER, all religions began to become controlling. In the end, it became/has become all about power.
Mostly about controlling women, I've noticed. -
I am not religious in the traditional context of the word. I consider myself spiritual. I believe in the existence of God but I consider religion as man-made and causes more trouble than good.

i believe in God. the Bible is God's words. i believe that his son Jesus came and died on the cross for my sins, he rose and is coming back. that's what i believe
-
I'm a roman catholic and I do believe in God. I pray everynight but I don't religiously pray for saints, etc. I am religious in my own right but I don't go to church often. I have a personal relationship with God but only on my own.

i am a muslim i think that we should belive in something in order to survive
what am saying that life with out religioun is point less that what i think -
I belong to a religious family but I can’t say that I am religious just like my parents. I also believe in God but I think the faith that I have for Him is still shallow.
-
I'm not really religious, rather spiritual. Yes, I do believe in God, but I don't believe in the Catholic Church, though I was raised as a Catholic. It seems to me that I try to understand what God and what Jesus wills in my own opinion and/or understanding.[SIGPIC]http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/9712/sigrattattouille.png[/SIGPIC]

Not exactly. Life without religion does have a point, we are born in this world and it is our duty to make the world a better place. Humans aren't the best creatures and the world isn't made for them, its all the human ego at work. This ego destroyed the world, led to religious wars, killed millions in the same of religion, caused global warming and a million other evils. Religion isn't like oxygen, survival and humanity can well exist without religion. How does religion give a 'point' in life?
i think you might be on to something i quite agree with you!

God exists. He helps those who help themselves, or maybe God's just a kid with an antfarm, who knows yah?

If he helps those who help themselves, why is he necessary and how do you know he's there? Also I don't think that people are comparable to ants.
I don't believe in a God, the devil, free will, or any supernatural power. There is no evidence for any of them. Personally, I believe that people can't handle a universe without a *person* in control--and God is a person. I agree with Neo--it is only the human ego at work. -

Actually you're the one who needs to shut up. Generalizations like "Christians are weak" will gain you no respect from anyone. I disagree with religion, but I definitely prefer a thinking Christian to a parroting atheist. So can it.
P. S. You know what's really badass? SPELLING.And your very flesh shall be a great poem.

I'm sorry but you really aren't. Insulting Christians is not the same as sticking up for atheists.
I'm not trying to diss you (although sorry to say I probably did; I got heated up.) But I don't like other atheists to talk that way. Then Christians have an excuse to say that all atheists are hateful and belligerent, just as you say that all Christians are weak. And your very flesh shall be a great poem.
