I have Verizon, and my upgrade is in 3 weeks so I'm trying to decide what phone to get. I'm mainly looking at the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S III and DROID Razr but am open to other suggestions.
What cell phone should I get?

These. Don't bother getting the iPhone 4S with the iPhone 5 right around the corner, and a better version of the Droid Razr is coming not too far off.
The Galaxy S3 is currently one of the best and will remain that way even after the iPhone 5 and Droid Razr HD come out. I assume that the Droid Razr HD will have a similar battery to the Maxx, though.
What are you looking for in a phone? I know that sounds kind of broad. -
I've currently got an iPhone 4S which, don't get me wrong, amazing phones but like the iPhone 5 is almost here. If you're getting at iPhone I'd wait for that.

with android's technology advancing so fast im not sure that apple will be able to keep up in the years to come the iphone's share of the smartphone market is dropping and is projected to become obsolete within the next 3 or so years17/straight/single

I would go with the S3 thats what im upgrading to in a few days. I agree that if you want an Iphone just wait for the 5, but with all leaked info it seem like the it won't be as good as the S3 isLook at yourself in the mirror and tell me what a man is without pride, tell me what a man is without fire in his eyes.

If you can get past the size factor, the Galaxy Note is actually the best phone out there right now. It is basically like a mini computer, so you can download a lot of stuff off of the internet like pirate songs while on the go, can install multiple programs (not limited to mobile applications), has an amazing camera, etc.
