So a few days ago my laptop speakers starting making a cracking noise when I would play videos or music... and now they will cut in and out of sound when I'm listening to things. Am I correct that my speakers are taking a crap?

And if so, are laptop speakers replaceable? I have a HP Pavilion g series, if that helps. I don't want to have to buy a new laptop if I don't have to.

Well I like the fact I don't have to plug anything in to have sound. So, I will probably look into them getting replaced. Thanks, though! :)

Yes, you probably are correct. Especially if you move your laptop around and there's a difference in sound, its a good indication that either the speakers are going or the wires are. Get a good pair of headphones or even a small speaker set.

This is actually the best laptop I've ever had. lol I've had issues with every other brand of laptop I've owned.
