I really need a job! I just need to earn my own money so I can do things and buy things that I want to... What kind of job can a sixteen year old get?

Baby sitting, and you can get a part time job at a shop or bakery or something like that. I'm 16, and I'm good with my school so I tutor people English & Maths[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]People will hate you, rate you, shake you and break you. How strong you stand is what makes you. ♥

If you can write well, you can become a content writer. Contact blog owners or join freelancing sites

You can work part time in shops or bakeries and if u are really good at writing then you can become a freelancer online
-
generally teens apply at fast food or sit in restaurants, department stores. or depending on your skills you could do part time contracting(aka small time construction and odd jobs) or if you have any certifications (like computer related) get a technician job.

If you have a webcam I can think of something extremely profitable.

Justagirl, can you swim? If so, you might want to consider taking a lifeguard course. This is a great first job that not only pays much more than minimum wage, but also places you in a leadership position. I was a lifeguard at 16 - and I have to say, it provided me with a lot of opportunity.

I recommend a part time job in retail, working on tills or stacking shelves. Not the most inspiring but money is money. Perhaps try a job as a waiter/waitress?
If you play any sports see if you can get a job helping out with coaching, through a series of fortunate events ive got a job working as a martial arts instructor after school. -
Not much, look above, I agree with baby sitting.

retail

I work at Old Navy and I love it! I really reccomend working in some sort of retail like that because they're fun and you get discounts. I get an employee discount at Old Navy, the Gap, and Banana Republic (because they're all part of Gap Inc). I think they're still hiring if there's one near you, but you have to apply online.
Other than that, I'd try going to the mall and asking for applications in some of the stores there. There's not many places that 16-year-olds can work at besides fast food places and retail. -

KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut will all take an application

I was 16 when Gamestop offered me a job refurbishing Nintendo DS's. Guess you could also try KFC,Mc Donalds, burger king,checkers/rally's,or perhaps a skating ring and on the note of a skating ring try sonic I believe they hire 16 year old's.
