Right after holiday season, things slow down drastically. Was like this last year. Why do I care? bc 3 of us are not on schedule! What to do?
retail is slow as fuck

Find another job. I worked retail and it was awful. Start looking now.

I work retail, however the company I work for is badass so I do not have any real reason to leave... so what if they slow down after the holidays? I need the time for school and such. AND I don't have any real expenses yet so I don't need that much money coming in...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Harder you work, more benefits you get with people that schedule (more hours)
and the work is easy as fuck. I enjoy no activity. Get payed to stand around and talk. Retail is great if it's not busy and you're not working with ass holes. -
I'll stick it out haha.

January is always the slow month. It starts to pick up around the first week of Feb for V-Day, then drops off for a week, then picks up again around April.
As a part-time associate this REALLY sucks, as a full-time manager it's more frustrating and annoying. -
I'm in retail, but for some reason our weekends haven't slowed down (other than the snowfall which killed us on our busiest day, Sunday). It's strange really, but as I'm on a week paid holiday - I couldn't care less as I'm paid to be at home and not be there.
Although being in work when it's dead seems like a good thing - with nothing to do it gets EXTREMELY boring.[CENTER]

Again, see the shocked look on my face? -
I trained myself in almost every department in my store, when someone calls out or if they need a hand somewhere they'll call me first.
I wouldn't quit that job, instead you should just get a second job... which is what I did and its been working fabulously[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] -
