Will soccer become the most popular sport in U.S.A?

Hello Everyone,

Nearly every child plays soccer, it is the most popular children's sports in the USA. As these children grow older I feel Soccer will be the most popular. It is very exciting to watch my children play such a stimulating sport.

Soccer has been a popular child's sport for decades, and yet it hasn't made it very well professionally in the US. Very little has changed recently to support the idea that soccer will rise to prominence.

Definitely, Even, I believe that Soccer is not just popular in U.S.A. but, it is moreover popular around the world. It seems that now in U.S.A. this sport became more favourable among child. They just love to play soccer and they also dreaming to represent them nation in Olympics.

What i think is, only minor level of soccer is popular in the US, major level soccer is so popular. It will never be as popular as baseball, football or basketball.

I highly doubt it seeing as baseball is our national pass time and football is worth billions not millions but billions and basket ball in my opinion was always better than soccer but my opinion doesn't matter hat matter's is basketball,football and baseball are all more popular than soccer and bring in more money so no soccer will never be in my opinion the most popular sport in the U.S

Gridiron is popular in the US, and that makes for atrocious viewing.

OP has asked a very broad question. Do you mean most played, and if so, by what age group? Most watched? Most attended? To achieve any of those then people have to keep playing the game into adulthood and I'm not sure people are being encouraged to do that.

Whatever happens, Football is the most popular sport in the world "hands down", to use that odious Americanism. If North Americans continue to stubbornly live in their own little sports bubble then it's their loss.

I hate it when people call football "soccer". Yeah, I know that's the American name. But I don't like it. It's FOOTBALL. And it is the best sports game ever!

Yes, in the UK it's football, but Americans do have their funny little ways.

I prefer ice hockey. It's fast, it's mean and can be bloody.
