Leave it to GOP to always pick the worst option possible to defend their ideals:
North Carolina GOPers want to declare a state religion, in attempt to nullify court rulings on public prayer.
Srsly, why can't they at least let the party die with dignity. It is as if they pick the craziest mofos they can find to represent them.
I can understand the opposition to the ban on public prayer, as this a nation that boasts about religious freedom.. yet how can we claim this if we are banning people from practicing their religion? It is not as if people are forced to participate in prayer.. they at least have a choice (to clarify, I actually do not really practice any religion). Yet GOP tries to refute the ban with something that is even more detrimental to the constitutional right of religious freedom.
Anyways, discuss.. or debate perhaps if you disagree with anything I may have said.
