Today is the 20th anniversary of Tupac's death
I remember the first time I ever saw a picture of Tupac & heard his music. It was freshman year of college and my friends had mentioned him and I honestly had only ever heard of his name, didn't know that he had been assassinated 17 years prior. I looked up a picture of him, & he became the first black man I was ever attracted to. So I then started crying cause it was so sad that such a beautiful black man had been shot. I listened to his song "Changes" and absolutely loved it, despite it being about white people oppressing others. I don't necessarily agree with the lyrics but Tupac will forever be in my heart.
RIP
