when I was going to go up to someone to talk to them they thought I was creepy and I wondered why because all I am is quiet and I truly want to know, other than my profile picture, am I creepy?

I'm sure you're not.
They may not have meant it in a completely horrible way but were just expressing surprise over something. Whilst "creepy" could describe horrible people like Jimmy Saville etc., it could have been meant light-heartedly like you could describe someone who puts their socks on AFTER their trousers "creepy" in a jovial way if you disagreed. -
You're probably not creepy. Some people just don't know how to deal with others, so if you're not exactly like them they'll call you names like that.

If someone seriously thinks you are creepy, you are creepy just for that person or those peoples. And these are folks you should ignore.
Unless you feel deeply offended and hurt. Then you should talk to someone about it, maybe even someone with authority. -

Also labeling someone creepy is based on a feeling of being physically around someone, looking at them, their body language and how they interact with others.
We can't see any of that on an internet forum.
If you're worried you're creepy, change the way you act, dress, and be more social and outgoing. -
