We sometimes would play basketball in PE class and we would have to do it shirts VS skins.
I always hated it because I had no armpit hair and it was embarrassing -
the boys at my school were not allowed to take there tops off even on the hottest day would still be in PE top
That was more disappointing for some boys than others

I wasn’t a fan at the time.

I was wondering because I took mine off but when me and two other boys put on cutoff shirts we were ok even though my cuttoff barely covers anything.

Sometimes for gym class girls and guys are separated. When we do things like basketball we were only guys so the no-shirt policy really didn’t matter. Same thing when we played flag football the girls did a different activity and then the guys did.
-
Yes we are as long as it is boys only. But at swim practice I'm in speedos so no cares then and that's at school.
-
I was going to say the same thing. The rules are different during swimming because it’s coed. The guys swim in a one piece short swimming trunks and the girls swim in a one piece Swim suit.
I don’t really remember if we’ve ever had a guys no shirt policy. I guess just the activities that we would be no shirt the girls are doing a different activity. -
No we have to wear our PE kit, swimming boys can be shirtless and can wear trunks or shirts girls have to wear a one piece
-
I mean at cross country practice guys are shirtless and girls have on a sports bra. Our weight rooms are single sex so no one cares if guys are shirtless.
-
this is just a regular gym class/p.e. we dont have swim, so we do football or basketball or some soft or hardball and other stuff. Us removing shirts was just random
-
That’s kind of interesting. At some point in our school year since starting junior high we’ve had to take swimming. Not for the whole school year but usually either at the beginning middle or at the end.
It has almost always been cool and swimming and like I said the guys swimming usually in a speedo type swimming suit and the girls all swim in a one piece bathing suit. -
Basket ball one team doesn't wear a shirt. And sometimes during flag football if it was hot we'd take our shirts off
-
Shirtless gym for boys would make gym class a lot more interesting
We do also have swim classes some times in the year. But never a boy in a speedo, always in those shorts-like swimming trunks. Most girls come in bikini though -
have to wear shirt in gym class
-
I think it depends on the activity. Like if it’s playing softball the teachers probably not going to say that it’s appropriate to take your shirt off.
-
I removed mine for basketball.
-
shirts are optional for boys during PE, doesnt make any difference inside or outside, on gym floor, or the weight room. Gotta wear shorts tho. lol
